The Tamasag Conference Center
Pat Griffin acquired a tract of land along the Poudre River near Bellvue, Colorado in 1968, where he constructed a personal weekend retreat. Through the years the Griffin family found great pleasure, recreation and solace at this sylvan location. Because of his special feelings for this property Mr. Griffin requested that the property not be disposed of by sale at his death. The board of directors of the foundation determined to construct a conference center on the property for the exclusive use of non profit organizations. This property is known as Tamasag Ranch; not an Indian word, but "Gasamat" spelled backwards. Construction of the conference center was completed in July 1996. To date, there have been 3,087 meetings held at the facility and it is estimated that more than 54,000 people have attended those meetings. The Office for Conference Services at Colorado State University arranges for the meeting schedule to use the property. This is available to any qualified non profit organization or public agency.
